Peacock Plan

The “Peacock Plan” was launched in October 2010 which is an exclusive program of Shenzhen Municipal Government to absorb overseas high-level talents. The overseas talent brought into the “Peacock Plan”, can enjoy from 1,600,000 to 3,000,000 RMB subsidies and some preferential treatment such as residence and immigration, while the special funding maximized 80 million Yuan will reward the ‘team introduced’ overseas high-level personnel. According to the “Peacock Plan”, Shenzhen will invest from 300 million to 500 million RMB annually over the next five years, supporting overseas talent related services and their venture capital investment. Application Procedures

1.Individual Application
Individuals should firstly apply for the acknowledgment of their work unit by providing related materials.

2.Work Unit Assessment
Work units should assess the qualifications of the individual. If applicable, work units should log in “Service and Information System of Shenzhen’s Oversea Talents” (in the “online application” panel on the home page of the official website of Human Resources and Social Security of Shenzhen http://www.szhrss.gov.cn), then enter “Affirmation of Oversea High Level Talents”. Fill in the information, hand in online the “Application Affirmation Form”, print it out, add opinions of recommendation and stamp the form.

3.Assessment by the Competent Department of the Work Unit
Send “Application Affirmation Form” and related certification materials to the competent department of the work unit. After the competent depart adds opinions of recommendation, the person in charge should hand in the materials to Shenzhen’s Human Resources and Social Security Department, bringing their identity card; If there is no competent department, the person in charge should hand in the materials directly.

4.Shenzhen’s Human Resources and Social Security Department will publish the results online after examining.

5.Dispense certifications.
